Name that Geological Feature! Options

In my last I talked about this fun time of playing with the world, I thought you might like to know just a little more detail. Hopefully you will see some of the work when the map is released this weekend :).

The Map started as a simple outline, done by yours truly, where I tried to give us enough land mass, and interesting shape, to allow us to work. Next I gave this to our talented team member Possum, using her past life as a geologist, we started to fill in the details. Through her guidance we saw the tectonic plates shift and magma flow to form not only the shape but the features of the world. We saw mountains and valleys form, plains and cliffs shaping with the great force of nature.

This was over one very fun filled week where we saw our world take shape where we all learned a lot about our own world. We did a lot of research into different landscapes and how they could fit together, how different minerals form these landscapes. There is an amazing world out there, with some pretty fantastic landscapes, our own real life world. Hopefully we will inspire some interest in our own real life world, as well as our own game world.

Lastly we gave it to Reolus to take our map and working his magic, hopefully presenting you all with something interesting as well as inspiring.

Aha I fished up a lurcker! ;)

Onlyto go and yes I can feel the excitement in the team, not only mine but a few others that have had input into this release. For us it is a good exersize on working together and putting something out in a professional manner.

We could have just put a basic map but we felt it needed to be given a bit of life so look for something a little special. If it seems we add a bit of dramatics to the release, just remember, were excited about this as well! :D

I have to say it is an interesting time and must add that already the team are showing their dedication to and ambition for the project and this is before the map is released, I don't doubt we'll all be impressed, well done all, look forawrd to seeing the first picture release :).

I am always impressed what a group of people can do when they come together and focus, it is a case of who you know, not want that often wins out on the day.

I think that now ( ) its great to see how the teams are working together, I think they too are a bit inspired at how far we have come. I think we can all be just a little proud of what we have accomplished.

Oh and for those that will be around, I hope to be on hand, with some of the other Dev's to answer questions on the 13th.

ok here goes the explination, I live in New Zealand, Saturday in the states (were a lot of the devs are) is Sunday for me, which is the 13th, but its the 12th in the Sates.

Bird lives in europe, others live elsewhere...yes I got confused, but fear not! Its up.. go forth and enjoy :P
