I figure they'll read a post here faster than they will a post in the dev section, since the dev section usually means work tongue.gif Codpied and stolded from Vamyen.

We use an IRC server for a way of connecting to the community. As well some game development discussion takes place here whenever the fire is lit.

IRC Clients:
mIRC - http://www.mirc.com/ (shareware) free for 30 days then $20 us <--- this is what Pandra uses
XChat - http://www.xchat.org/ (shareware) free for 30 days then $20 us <--- This is what a bunch of the guys use
XChat (windows) - http://www.silverex.org (freeware) <--- this is what Vamyen uses
IceChat - http://www.icechat.net/site/ <---this is the one that makes Grey scream and pull out his hair
HIRC - http://www.xs4all.nl/~hneel/software.htm <---... I know nothing about this one

IRC servers:
irc.projectwish.com
irc2.projectwish.com

Port:
6667
*Standard ports for IRC are 6660-6669,7000

Channels
#projectwish (this is the public channel please do not talk about game stuff here, even though Pandra forgets and talks about game stuff in here all the time ohmy.gif )

Commands you maybe interested in.
To join a channel:
/join #<channel name>

To list channels on a server:

You can also use the web browser Java applet to log into the IRC. Look for the link at the top of the forums called "Live Chat".
