I found out what happened. The actualy line with the T1 from Qwest (the phone/big ISP company) got water in it. They are waiting for Qwest to get someone out there to clean it up so it doesnt ruin anything. It should be back up later today or tonight,
To answer your question Gredinus, we had irc2.projectwish.com as backup, but never needed it and so Mole and I didnt finish setting it up. I think we will now. Looks like we will have to use the forum for a few more hours. Sorry for the downtime :(. -------------------- |

Why arent the two servers linked as a small irc network? Then setup irc.projectwish.com to alternate between the two ip's.

Its back up. The good news is that Qwest finally had to come fix things, so next time a storm comes, we hope the problem with the connection bouncing will stop. That means it should be more stable than ever.

Once again, the irc server is having troubles this morning. Sometime in the middle of the night, it started having problems. Please go to irc2.projectwish.com in the mean time, until I have time tonight to go check on the server.

I have finally set up round-robin DNS for redunsant irc servers, which should give us stability. I am going to set up another server, this time at my house, so we will have 3 in the rotation. I will be moving the more important stuff to my house, so I can have access to it quicker than I do currently.
What this means: irc.projectwish.com may be down later tonight, unless the new DNS settings take effect. irc2 is up, but does not have services yet. This will be a good thing, but may take a day or 2 to get all ironed out. I am going out of town (back home) tomorrow, so hopefully it will all be done before then. For now, we are all congregating on irc2.projectwish.com so come and join us.
