Project Wish _ Speed Modeling _ Speed Modeling Challenge #1

Posted by: wspnut Jan 15 2007, 03:07 PM

Hello hello all you talented modelers! Welcome to the first project wish speed modeling challenge!

Entry Dates: 1/15/2007 to 1/28/2007
Voting Dates: 1/29/2007 to 2/4/2007
All times end at midnight, PST

For the first model, we'll start simple, or complex. It's up to you! There are a lot of ways you can go with a seemingly simple theme such as:

Theme: A Lantern

Remember that texturing and background objects/textures are not required, but are definitely recommended! Try to make a scene, not just an object. Also, it will help judging members to understand your project more fully if you append a wireframe mesh along with your rendered image.

Now get modeling, and good luck!

Total time: 28 min
poly count is just over 1000... mostly because of the top part that holds the lantern and the chain.
and good idea to have a speed modeling competition too btw smile.gif
