First of all, im new here so hi every1!!!

I don't know if this was already discussed, i couldn't find anything about the world in the site, or im just to dumb to find it tongue.gif.

The thing is, when i think about a new game (MMORPG of course) i think an evolution of what we know now, at least i imagine some new features that just keep in my mind and i cant still have it, im talking, as the topic title says, of the borders between towns controlled by players that set their own faction name (alliances and guilds) and do its history.

The campaigns has in any other game should have its pve basis but should relay on the current 'countries' names. Just for a easy understanding example: u are from faction A (country, alliance, whatever u wanna call it) mission:go to (random town or area [since it meets the requirement of being from another faction]) and kill X number of enemies from faction B. 'thats a lame example, but easy to understand^^'.

So the objective of this game tipe is to conquer territory for ur alliance and keep it, has an alliance leader or officer, ur objective should also be to build a nice environment between ur borders so ppl what to live in it, and actually have a good society inside ur towns, if ppl dont like the looks of it inside a faction they just leave, that faction goes week 'by the obvious reasons' and gets conquered by a better one.

After all this i just hope everyone understands me and get the idea, I'd really like any comments^^ or complementary ideas, or 'ur idea suxs' opinions or whatever u think. ty for reading tongue.gif

Yeah I think that falls pretty close to some of what I and some others here are planning.

Welcome biggrin.gif

AFAIK what you are talking about is the dynamic quests feature. It is still being developed, so nothing official can be released yet. However, I'm sure Jerky would appreciate ideas on the subject and on dynamic borders as well.

It can become quite a challenge for the story to make such interactive quests without loosing logic or immersability. Besides, the implementation of PVP is still under heated debate... Eheh, I guess only time will tell tongue.gif

To reiterate what was already said, and to answer your question the way I understand it, yes. I am working on Kingdoms themselves having fairly static borders, but the outposts, villages, towns, cities, within will not. Players will get to go "found" a new one and stake a new claim. The world we have is very large, so this should be quite possible.

Then, as you mention, wars will be able to break out between factions within one kingdom. There will be ways to keep those who do not want to be forced into open faction-based PvP safe, but those details will come much farther down the road. Simple answer is yes, long answer is that its complicated and hasn't been entirely designed yet.

Oh, and welcome to PW! We are working on slowly releasing more information about the game so everyone gets a sense of what it will be. Thanks for asking. smile.gif

Welcome to PW Aria !

Please feel free to hop on IRC as many of us spend our idle hours on there and would be more than happy to discuss any type of PW idea with you.

I also like the idea of being able to fight for my guild and conquer another guild's land (as I understand your post.) I would love seeing that type of thing in PW.

Thanks for pointing that out Honis, I didn't notice it.

Sorry Aria, I had to remove that one. We want to keep our site rated G for the time being. That was a little PG-13, or worse. Hope you understand.
