Well, we would like to announce and welcome a few more new members to the development team.

First off, we have 3 new programmers to announce. First is mikmak who will be helping with the client. Next we have Void who will be helping the server team. Last of the new programmers is goatboy who will also be helping on the client team for now.

The other 2 new members are additions to the audio team. Please welcome Shads and elemental. Both will be adding sounds and some music as we work toward Alpha 1.

We do have some sad news this month. One of our programmers has a new job and no time to continue working on PW. Most people who leave have not done so with the class of this member, who will always be welcome here at PW. We would like to say good luck to GhediPunk. We wish him luck in his other endeavors and hope he gets time again in the future to come contribute. We will still be here .

The other news has to do with the site. There have been a few more addons, including a whole new downloads section. The plus and minus of having the site the way we do is that there are lots of options for all these important items. The download system we were using was a little buggy, but this new one is much better. It even shows how big the files are, something which the old one had a problem with.

The other addition to the front page is the Latest Blog entries to the left. Many of our visitors did not even know our developers kept blogs, so this helps them see what is going on and who is writing. Feel free to read and comment on the blogs. Our blogs are meant to share a little information about our progress. The main purpose for the blogs is for our developers to share insights and information about some of the behind-the-scenes processes so others have something to learn from. We also like to share little bits of personal information so you can get to know the team a little better.

For development, the game engine is still progressing nicely, along with our sound tool (codenamed Siren) and our server. Lots of art is getting made as well and we hope to show you some of the high-quality work our artists are producing. Hopefully, the last portion of the website that is lacking will help in this department, and that is a random images section here on the main page.

The team continues to grow and we still have more people interviewing. We will continue to update you when we get new members and let you know how things are going. Our team is already bigger than it ever has been in the last two years. And yes, we are approaching our 2-year anniversary. Expect some nice treats on that day this January.
