Nice job. I am happy that all of the "elements" I like for fantasy are included: plains, desert, mountains, forests, rivers and a delta.

Cheers,
OOM

We tried to give a variety, within reason, that could be fitted together into one land mass. Of course we will have to be careful with scale so it looks like it fits together.

id like to say i was swept away by the map. but i wasnt.
Maybe im just stuck on the one big continent thing. It just doesnt do it for me.

Now gameplay and what is to come may make me eat my words, but just to be honest, there is my impression. I think when i look at it i think of it as small because it is one contienent. or maybe it just looks like we will all be doing one big skirmish with no where to run. dont know.

......>usual humility and groveling part to affirm i suport you all.
includes hands clapping for the nice 3d production.

Ahhh a challenge thats what I like to see.

It may look small, but then comparitivly europe is small when compaired to the americas, I will also point out that this is titled first continent for a reason.

This is the begining of our journey but even there, yes if the land was a flat plain it may not look that large, but it is far far from it. There are many levels to this geology, we wanted to give the world height, which is something that we felt Wish did very well, and other games have done to lesser or greater degree.

It is very hard to see on a flat map, or even that animation, just how large the differences are. Don't take that as a true representation of the world, but more like a raised relief map that we flew over, and is far from an accurate representation.

Believe me, if we can we will have a world with plenty of places to run, hide, explore, just be sure to be on your guard ;)

LOL, isup, little do you know how big this world is gonna be! Urgle! ;)

One thing that makes it appear smaller than it actually will be is that the rivers and such are out of scale with the rest, so that where really they should be hairline threads if they were scaled correctly, they're nice thick lines so you can see them.

One thing... The world should not be EXTREMELY large. Dark and Light is having a world like that, and they will have a very tough time filling it with content. Not only that, but a huge world will feel empty and where will the social aspect go? I do hope you all are being reasonable on the size. :)

Yes I noticed that about Light and Dark, although this is also due to players owning land, so they had to make allowences for that.. its still a problem. I think we did wonder if the world would be too small :)

Its a matter of perspective too, measuring a land mass in square units, doesnt take account for height or depth, you can add a lot or take away from how big the world is by varing these two features. Also, as has been pointed out before I think, there is no scale released yet, I think after we do it will be easier to judge the size.
