The unavoidable exploit?, Disconnecting to avoid death or worse! Options

This is an open discussion on the "unavoidable" exploit. Players physically disconnecting there internet connection to force a logout.

I was watching a pvp discussion in IRC tonight and thought, with all forms of PvP all you need is enough HP (or whatever it is that keeps you alive) to last for the disconnect timeout to occur to avoid the consequences of death. This also applies to PvE, but usually death against an NPC is less severe than death against a PC (fluffy bunnies don't loot bodies usually).
