I think having an in game pet would be fun.

I have been watching a friend play Zelda (the mask one) for a few weeks and a different friend play Everquest 2. Both games offer pets (EQ2: house pets like cats, mini dragon, scarecrow and summoned battle pets bears, wolves, etc.) (Zelda: I consider the fairy a pet that fallows you and points at things.)

I would love the idea of some pet that could sniff out more resources, help me attack, do crazy things when I enter my residence. You probably get the idea.

Of course these pets will be expensive to get (financially or hard quests). And if the battle/fallow pet dies it will cost you severely (this part should be discussed at a later time when personal death is figured out.)

I think i would try to get a fairy. I wouldn't care what it does, just as long as it fallowed me and didn't give me "helpful" advice on how to play the game.

I'm curious to know, what would you look for in a pet?
