Edit:

NOTE:

This is a work in progress, VERY DRAFT. Just draft tests on the Alpha release. NOT a final shot by any means.

Mistake corrected, -see Jerky's notes below. Thanks.

I think its worth noting that the interface is really easy once you get used to it. Here's a couple hints:
  • Hold down middle mouse button and you get into the free movement mode. As long as you hold down the middle mouse button you can use wasd to move around.
  • In any other viewing mode, you can get back to the gui mode by either left or right clicking (i forget which).
  • You don't have to edit the objects using the edit window. Select an object and hit m, r, or s (move, rotate, scale). From here you have several options. If you pressed m, you can move the object along its plane (constant y) just by dragging it. If you pressed r you will be rotating the object around both the x and z axes. If you pressed s you will be scaling uniformly. All those work by left clicking and dragging.
  • You can constrain to any axis in the mode above by pressing x, y, or z
  • To deselect an object, right click. Its the easiest way an guarenteed not to move your object. It is possible to deselect by left clicking off the object, but it tends to move the object along the terrain.
