Project Wish _ Greetings and Salutations _ BitVector Says Hi

Posted by: BitVector Aug 20 2008, 02:35 AM

It's nice to see that this website and project is still going.

Probably nobody remembers me, but I was one of the people who play-tested in the beta of Wish. Quite unbelievable that they canceled it like that...

I was also one of the ops in the #wish chat room that was hosted by Stratics a long time ago. After Wish was canceled, I watched people moan and complain about the game going away, but it was rather interesting to see a few people who were pushing to make a game based upon many of the same features that Wish had (and features that you just don't see hardly anywhere else in MMOs nowadays). I signed up for the forums at the Wish Project at its creation, but eventually I forgot all about it after a hard drive wipe that nuked my bookmarks.

I really do admire that this project kept going like it did. I wonder... will stay alive even longer until its completion?

Well, that's why we are all still here as well smile.gif. We wonder that same question. Lofty ambitions and crazy people aren't enough, although we have both wink.gif. Good to see another person who remembers what could have been. Stick around and keep poking about. It will do us all some good. Oh, and welcome (back)!

Hi BitVector,
Sorry for the late welcome... I'm in between homes right now (waiting for the escrow to close). What do you think about the project now? By the way, that's a nice duck avatar you have there! Did the camera flash give him the red-eye, is it natural, or did you photoshop that in?

OH! LOL the famous bitvector of LXY? If I'm right I'm your fan eheheh
Starting from your older posts I decided to study more morpgs from base coding to packets analysis discovering again the love for c++ happy.gif

I hope as you to see this project rise from the deep and gain the glory that, only the base idea must have.
