When i played wish one of the things that intrigued me the most was the combat. Moving away from simple stats is a challenge for many mmorpg. Wish, incorporated the idea of feats into the battle. Thus, the gameplay was not just character abiltity, but elements of player ability to choose correct strategy were important.

I bring up the following because i trust project wish will also be looking at the possibilities for combat systems.

Look at how Matrix Online is doing interlocked combat.

It is a similar system in some ways. Currently in stress testing, i have tried it and do like some of the elements experienced. There is a strong emphasis on the visual look of the battle, seeing what moves hit and which miss, and an interesting approach to players fighting in general.
